Selling Rounds of Golf with Pickup18

Pickup18 has a system that allows golf courses to make revenue through the Pickup18 Event Management System. Each Golf Course will have the opportunity to sell rounds of golf through the Pickup18 site to its members. The goal of Pickup18 is to sell rounds of golf during the "slow" times at the Golf Course.

How it works

  • Each Golf Course selects the day and price for each round of golf. That is the cost that each golf course will receive. Pickup18 will increase the cost to cover all costs. The typical mark up on the price is 15%. For instance, if the price to the golf course is $30, Pickup18 will sell the round for $35.
  • The golfer pays for the round of golf on the Pickup18 site. The golfer will then be presented with a Golf Course Voucher (see example). The voucher is then presented to the Golf Course at the time of play.
  • The golf course will then charge a Pickup18 credit card they have on file (if available). If the Golf Course does not have a secure way to hold a credit card, they will be put on a 7 day billing cycle and receive payment for all vouchers on Monday of each week.

How Pickup18 is different

  • Pickup18 does not take commission from the Golf Course price. The Golf Course sets the price that they will receive.
  • The Golf Course gets payment immediately (if available)! No waiting 30-60 days for payment!
  • Pickup18 may play Events at the golf course with 16-40 players each time. Instant revenue to the golf course!
  • Each Golf Course can change the prices at any time through the Pickup18 adminstrative section.
